Dear Dr Patrick Loh
It is very sad indeed to hear that you are leaving Singapore. It would be a tremendous loss to the students doing the Doctoral Programme of the Open University of Malaysia.
I have done courses for more than four postgraduate programmes. When I attended the Doctoral Seminars for the PHD (Business Administration) in May-June 2008 I was very impressed by the interactive approach you adopted in your classroom teaching.  Your lectures were intellectually stimulating and it revealed the depth of your prolific knowledge in many areas and your practical experience. This is out of the ordinary since in my previous postgraduate courses,  I found most lecturers tend to adopt a rather dictatorial approach with little chance for students to clarify their doubts. On the other hand you preferred the interactive approach which included candid sharing of your own problems in doing your PHD. You even set a standard for us to emulate by providing us with your publications which is of high academic standards.
What also struck me is your earnestness in monitoring and motivating your students to complete their assignments on time. You have gone out of your way to help students like me who need the gentle push. You have given me guidance which I appreciate very much and I know they are valuable tips for me  to follow in the pursuit for the PHD programme with the Open University of Malaysia. These sentiments are shared by other students in the Open University of Malaysia PHD programme.
I had already spoken to the direcctor to continue to engage you as my supervisor. I am prepared to fly down to Dubai to meet you.  I hope that you could help me despite of your heavy schedule.
With Best Regards

I will certainly pick and buy couple of interesting published stuff from you when I meet you this time.  I am still thinking how best I can come up with any plan to conclude on any workable business with you.  It is my privilege, if I could do something with you, together.  Kindly bless me to try on that.
